Another problem with fish farms is the liberal use of drugs and antibiotics to control bacterial outbreaks and parasites. Akhenaton Essays Akhenaton Essay Akhenaton Essay Akhenaton Akhenaton (Amenhotep IV) was an eighteenth dynasty pharaoh who is known for his attempt to change Egyptian culture and religion. As the younger son of Amenhotep III, he would have not been pharaoh but when his elder brother (crown prince Thutmose) died he had a claim for the thrown and became the Pharaoh of Egypt. Akhenaton had many wives and fathered many children. His wives (or consorts) include Nefertiti and Kiya; some Egyptologists suggest that (like his father) Akhenaton may have taken some daughters as wives or consorts. Akhenaton’s known children are: Tutankhaten (later known as Tuankhamun and King Tut), Smenkhkare, Meritaten, Meketaten, Ankhesenpaaten (later wife of Tuankhamun), Neferneferuaten Tasherit, Neferneferure and Setepenre. Akhenaton’s reign lasted from 1353 BC-1336 BC or 1351 BC–1334 BC (the dates are subject to debate). After 4 years of his reign he built a new capital of Egypt (Amarna) and dedicated the city to the supreme deity Aten. Akhenaton attempted to change the religion in Egypt and attempted to unite all of the traditional gods and goddesses of Egypt into one supreme deity (History records were careful not to mention Aten as a god but compared him to the sun and the stars to make him more important than a normal god. ) Aten was the deity Akhenaton tried to convert everyone to. At the time many nobles changed their names to names related to Aten instead of names based on the traditional Egyptian gods. Akhenaton means: the effective spirit of Aten. His son Tutankhaten’s name means living spirit of Aten. All of Akhenaton’s children’s names have meanings related to the deity Aten with the exception of Smenkhkare who was born before Akhenaton became the Pharaoh of Egypt. Akhenaton began his change of religion gradually he began in year 5 of his reign with disbanding the priesthood of all other gods and took all their income and spent the money to support Aten. Also during year 5 the pharaoh changed his name from Amenhotep IV to Akhenaton. During year 9 of his reign he declared Aten the supreme and only deity. Akhenaton not only tried to change the religion of ancient Egypt but also the traditional style of art (which makes people look much better than they really do) to a more realistic style of art one that takes all of the details of the body not just the good ones examples of this are paintings of Nefertiti fat and ugly during childbirth, paintings of his father (Amenhotep III) as obese and paintings of himself with fat legs, a large stomach and tall, thin chin. Many people consider Akhenaton to be the first independent thinker and first scientist. In 1899 English Egyptologist declared â€Å"If this were a new religion, invented to satisfy our modern scientific conceptions, we could not find a flaw in the correctness of this view of the energy of the solar system. How much Akhenaton understood, we cannot say, but he certainly bounded forward in his views and symbolism to a position which we cannot logically improve upon at the present day. The Longevity of the Persian Empire The original Persian (or Achaemenid) empire, as established by Cyrus the Great in the 6th century B.C., only lasted approximately 200 years until the death of Darius III in 330 B.C., following his defeat by Alexander the Great. The core territories of the empire were then ruled by Macedonian dynasties, primarily the Seleucids, until the late 2nd century BC. During the early 2nd century B.C., however, the Parthians (who were not Persians but rather descended from a branch of the Scythians) set up a new kingdom in eastern Iran, originally in a breakaway province of the Seleucid empire. Over the next half-century, they gradually took over much of the rest of what had once been Persian-controlled territory, adding Media, Persia, and Babylonia to their holdings. Roman writers of the early imperial period sometimes refer to this or that emperor going to war with Persia, but this is really a poetic or archaic way of referring to the Parthian kingdom. Sassanid Dynasty The Parthians (also referred to as the Arsacid dynasty) remained in control until the early 3rd century A.D., but by that time their state was seriously weakened by in-fighting and they were overthrown by the native Persian Sassanid dynasty, who were militant Zoroastrians. According to Herodian, the Sassanids laid claim to all the territory once ruled by the Achaemenids (much of which was now in Roman hands) and, at least for propaganda purposes, decided to pretend that the 550 years since the death of Darius III had never happened! They continued to whittle away at Roman territory for the next 400 years, eventually coming to control most of the provinces once ruled by Cyrus et al. This all fell apart, however, when the Roman emperor Heraclius launched a successful counter-invasion in A.D. 623-628, which threw the Persian state into total chaos from which it never recovered. Shortly afterward, the Muslim hordes invaded and Persia lost its independence until the 16th century when the Safavid dynasty came to power. Facade of Continuity The Shahs of Iran maintained the pretense of an unbroken continuity from the days of Cyrus, and the last one holding a huge pageant in 1971 to celebrate the 2500th anniversary of the Persian empire, but he wasnt fooling anyone familiar with the history of the region. While the Persian Empire seems to have eclipsed all others, Persia was a great power in 400 B.C. and controlled much of the Ionian coast. The data collected in this report also identified other indicators of unsafe school like drugs availability in school and violent incidents at school. The data found in the Indicator reports for the five consecutive years has been used or integrated in the safety programs for the purpose of enhancing school safety. The data equally highlights reported of other actions which are frequently neglected but have a direct impact to the eventual safety of the school like use of hate-related words. Safety school data collected reported incidents what could be classified or determined if a school is safe or not. The data ranges from possession of weapon, sex offences, use of alcohol and drugs, vandalism, burglary among others. The safety of schools in this case is determined by the rates of transfers, suspensions and expulsions. The data shows that there are no incidents of unsafe schools in this state. All the stakeholders, the teachers, school administration, the community and the state can attribute this to the measures that have been taken. The data used reflected the percentages of students who smoked cigarettes and marijuana in a period of six months. This was considered alongside the strategies for prevention and creating a safe school. The effects of mental health from the use of drugs are equally indispensable. Another source of data was the community. The communities that care survey of student levels of risk and protective factors were also considered. The data used was from survey carried out about students from grade 6-12. The data from the Kansas department of Education was used. The set data includes information regarding the numbers of felonies, expulsions, suspensions, misdemeanors and violent acts on school grounds for various schools. This data was from the year 2000 to 2004. School years were included in this database in order to establish a baseline by which to compare data from the school years in which the safe school initiative will be implemented. Conclusion The issue of safe schools is an issue that should be taken with a lot of seriousness bearing in mind the number of criminal related incidents that occur in the school. It is the obligation of all the stakeholders to ensure that they work towards the betterment of school environment in terms of surveillance- it should be a collective responsibility. Educators should consider physical safety as well as intellectual and emotional safety. To promote truly safe schools, educators must understand the culture of all their students and the communities they serve, and help all the students understand and respect the culture and the climate of the schools they attend. On the other hand, the state and the educational authorities have to come up with policies that the school safety is enhanced. Thorough scrutinisation of these policies will at least ensure that the school and the community do not neglect their roles in enhancing safety in schools. References Aspy, C. Essay --

Chapter 29: Harvey comes and talks about how his brother William broke his arm and how the baggage got lost in a town above here. The king is trying to take the blame off himself by saying what a coincidence it was that both of those things happened to him before he arrived here. A lot of people were on the side of the King instead of the real people. Some people were against the king in which includes the doctor of course and a lawyer named Levi Bell. The lawyer attempts to question him about himself and how he arrived to the town and all that stuff. The Doctor goes in his defense and says that if these two aren’t frauds, he the doctor himself is an idiot. They will bring the King and the Dauphin to the real couple and see what is going on. They go to a hotel with the new couple. The doctor accuses them of being frauds that have complices or assistants that they do not know about. He states that if there were complices, then the fakes would have gotten away with the bad of mo ney that Peter Wilks left. Now the king tells the story of how he had the money that the niece (Mary) gave to her to invest and hid it under the bed and follows what Huck tells him and says that the niggers stole and got away with it. One person questions Huck about the money and he tells exactly what he told the King that the niggers stole the money and he didn’t witness it happen or run away from the room. Now the lawyer is testing for handwriting and signatures to determine more evidence. After the two couples have written the two lines and signed it, the lawyer compared and the guilty victims were very obvious. Now the king is still defending himself saying it wasn’t a fair test and saying that the Duke is playing a joke about the handwriting. Now he gets... ...e run to freedom. The letter he writes it that Jim is down here two mile below Pikesville and Mr Phelps got him and will sell him for the reward. Huck then thinks about all the good times he had with Jim and how he was Jim’s only friend. Now Huck wants to get Jim out of slavery. Huck gathers a canoe and rides until he found a mill with the sigh â€Å"Phelps sawmill† Huck sinks the canoe to where can find it again. He then sees the duke holding up the bill for the Royal Noneuch-3 night performance- like that other time. Soon later Huck finds out that the raft is gone. His only property and Jim gets sold and the money is not split with the Duke. As long as Huck doesn’t blow, the Duke would tell him where to find Jim. And he was about to give him real information but he changes his mind and tells him to walk 40 miles in 3 days to a man named Abram Foster. Huck must go NOW.

Tuition

If students were robots they might at least not need ‘rest'. They would continue to work on a novel for days together, learn lessons of mathematics without Intervening subconscious processing of thoughts. The efficiency and effectiveness would have been uninterrupted. But students need rest, enjoyment, and change of routine. Therefore we cannot easily ignore importance of holiday, which has all the three ingredients. It alleviates anxiety of workload , takes away from hectic environment of office. Holiday is a ‘proper feed' of mind, gives it proper resting place', and timeout'.Plot for a great story Is discovered to us during our ‘Idle hours'. It underpins importance of rest and enjoyment for efficient working. A sage has wisely said, † the time that we enjoy wasting, is not wasted. † This is keeping in view the importance of enjoyment and leisurely hours in our life. A holiday is a time for celebration. It can be celebrated in a variety of ways. Student s go out for a short trip to various historical places to meet different people, enjoy their cuisine, listen to their folk songs, and legendary tales. Or they may vlslt new institutes, engage in seminars, and discussions and enrich their experiences.Besides that people enjoy playing games, joining health clubs, reading stories, learning new languages and skills going out for dinner with friends and families, watching movies and documentaries. some people get plenty of sleep thinking of rest instead of any work at all. To sum up. I can say that doing a part-time Job does students good. They can get more experience for future job, practice the lesson got from classes and grow up. For the reasons I have mentioned, I am going to seek a job for my self and do it with all my best to grow out of my own ebullient thought and action. In 2010, eating disorders had a reported 7,000 deaths each year. Not only this, but 3%-5% of children under the age of 18 have an anxiety disorder. Also 15% of all bipolar disorder patients have committed suicide. Eating disorders, anxiety disorders, and bipolar disorders are all prevalent today throughout all ages. Even middle schoolers. Eating Disorders Eating disorders are abnormal eating habits that usually involve eating too little or too much food to the harmful point of both physical and mental health. Most commonly heard is anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa. Anorexia nervosa is the extreme restriction of food to a point of extreme weight loss and self-starvation.
